Village Creek Landing, located at the end of South Harrington Road, is actually a peninsula on St. Simons Island surrounded by marshes and tidal creeks. It is a very popular spot for fishermen and kayakers and is a great place to observe wildlife as well. At Village Creek Landing I have photographed Blue and Green Herons, Wood Storks, Great Egrets, and Black Vultures. You may see them in the marshes at low tide hunting for food or taking it easy in the trees on a lazy afternoon. Have your camera ready!
