The Tufted Titmouse may be the largest of its species in North America, but it is still a relatively small bird. It once existed mainly in the southern United States but has now expanded northward. The Tufted Titmouse is predominately gray above and white underneath. It has a black patch above its bill, a crested head, and a little rusty color on its flanks. It takes well to feeders, so if you put some in your yard, you just might get a visitor or two.
