Photo taken at Gould’s Inlet on St. Simons Island
I came across this preening Snowy Egret at Gould’s Inlet. The photo gives a good view of the row of pure white feathers on its extended wing. It’s a beautiful sight when you are lucky enough to observe it, and I always see egrets at Gould’s Inlet. Snowies have a black bill and yellow feet and are part of the heron family.
