Here’s a photographic tip for all you shutterbugs out there. When you are photographing something that is moving, try focusing your camera a little ahead of your subject. This allows your subject to move into the frame, and then you can snap your picture. In this photo I focused in front of the Wood Duck and let him swim into the shot I wanted. Of course, wildlife can be unpredictable and suddenly change course, but, for the most part, this is a good strategy to follow when your subject is on the move.
