The Pekin Duck, also known as the Long Island Duck or the White Pekin, is an American domestic duck breed. Pekin Ducks make good pets due to their easy going nature. The females produce about 200 eggs a year. The duck in this photo, however, is a male. How do I know that? The male Pekin Duck develops a curled tail feather, called a drake feather, in adulthood.
