The amazing Monarch Butterfly travels thousands of miles in its annual migration. Several generations will take part in different legs of the trek from the Eastern United States and Canada to Mexico. During their travels, Monarchs rely heavily on milkweed to provide nectar and on which to lay their eggs. A reduction in milkweed is imperiling Monarchs and is likely responsible for a large decline in the Monarch population.
