Again using a large zoom lens, I captured this Great Egret in a tree at Village Creek Landing on St. Simons Island. Notice the plumage and how the feathers are fanned. It’s always interesting to watch them preening, and their bright white coats really stand out against the green and brown of the tree. Remember to look up into the trees when you are wandering around with your camera. You just might be surprised at what you see there.
