Is this Great Blue Heron in a trance? It looks like it, doesn’t it? I watched it at the Villager Drive Creek for a long time, and it never moved an inch. Apparently, this is their hunting technique, to stand completely still and wait for prey to come by. It never batted an eye and stood with its mouth open like it was comatose. You would have thought it was a sculpture of the heron instead of the real thing. But I can assure you, it was real and I loved seeing those beautiful colors.
