The female Northern Cardinal has a beauty all her own, though some may think the male cardinal got all the good looks in the family. A light brown bird with red tinges on her crest, wings, and tail, the female cardinal impresses with her warm, subtle colors. What a beautiful pair the male and female make, and they are in my backyard everyday. Lucky me!
