I don’t know what these two turtles are up to, but it looks like a face-off to me. Are they just getting some sun, or are they participating in some form of communication? Are they taking it easy or are they combative? I took this photo at Silver Lake on St. Simons Island, Georgia, and I can tell you that Silver Lake is full of turtles. They are fascinating creatures and since photographing so many of them here on the island, I have to say that I have developed a fondness for them.
