Welcome to the third installment of my wildlife photography series, Ducks & Geese & Swans, OH MY! Ducks & Geese & Swans are all part of the same family despite their differences in size, sound, and appearance. I hope you enjoy the photos and information about these beautiful and interesting water birds. Most of the photographs that follow were taken in New England, and I’ll let you know about some of the great places I visited as well. No matter where you live or where you go, fascinating wildlife can always be found, and what a thrill it is to come across them in their natural habitats!
Remember to keep a safe distance and to have a good telephoto or zoom lens on your camera, so you don’t need to get too close. When we photograph in nature, it is always good to be mindful that we are in wildlife’s domain, and it is incumbent upon us to act accordingly and responsibly. With that being said, let’s dive in to the colorful world of these common but unique aquatic birds.
