The Brown Thrasher is the state bird of Georgia. It is recognizable by its striped breast, its slightly downturned bill, and its two white wingbars. It is a talented singer and has a large selection of songs. When I am photographing any kind of wildlife, I am always thinking about how I want to frame the subject. In this case, I was looking for what’s in the background or surrounding the Brown Thrasher. The green of the tree and the red flower enrich the look of the photograph and provide contrasting color to the bird.
