One afternoon a flock of Black Vultures flew into Village Creek Landing while I was looking for other wildlife. Vultures are hard to ignore. Their sheer size is enough to command your attention. They are awkward in flight, constantly repeating labored wing flaps with short glides. Even though they are not very graceful birds, they have a purpose in nature as do all things. On that particular day, they perched in the trees for a while and kept their eyes on the marsh, awaiting an opportunity no doubt.
