Almost every time I go to the Creek off Villager Drive, I see Basking Turtles. They are usually sitting on logs with their necks outstretched taking in the warmth of the sun. Sometimes I see one by itself or several sharing the log together. This group includes Sliders, Painted Turtles, and Cooters, specifically a southeastern species. I wanted a close-up shot so I could get a good look at the turtle’s markings and high-domed shell.
